In 1991, God began to work in the heart of Pastor Krasimir Partovski, igniting in him a desire, as in many other places around the world and in Bulgaria, for the Biblical Faith to be preached in the village of Vakarel. At that time, he started gathering people to pray and reflect on God’s Word.

On November 6, 1993, the first ever Open Christian Gathering in the history of the village of Vakarel took place, during which around 12 people were saved.

A few days later, on November 9, 1993, the first Evangelical Church in the village of Vakarel was established. Soon after its founding, the church was subjected to severe persecution – attempts to confiscate the building, arson, placement of explosives, stone throwing, abductions, and more.

Despite the difficult period, the Church not only withstands but also actively spreads the Word in the surrounding areas. As a result, the founding of churches in Momin Prohod, Gorna Vasilitsa, Zhivkovo, and Gabra begins.

Throughout all these years, the church has actively prayed and worked to spread the Gospel, resulting in missions being held in many places in Bulgaria, as well as in Romania, Turkey, and Greece.

Vakarel is located 40 km from Sofia and at an altitude of 830 meters. From there, we have a wonderful view of Sofia and the surrounding areas, and many years ago, God spoke to us, just like to Moses, saying that whatever our eyes see will be ours.

In 2006, the Word of God began to be fulfilled, and we founded the Christian Church “El Shaddai” – Sofia.

We believe that this is yet another place that God is giving us. We will continue until we reach the lost!
